Three Step Process to Install Interior Door

When you replace your interior doors with IDC, you will enjoy our unique three-step process. This process is designed to minimize the time you have to spend on home improvement. At IDC, we understand that busy professionals (and even busy Moms!) have better things to do than baby-sit contractors working in the home - that is why we've designed our process so most of the work happens in our shop, not your home. Keeping the work in our shop means the fuss, mess, fumes, and dust of home improvement are not in your beautiful home.
Step 1. Your IDC experience begins when one of our knowledgeable sales persons comes to your home for your free in-home design consultation. This step typically takes about an hour, and lets us understand your desires while we show you a variety of options to help you successfully achieve your home improvement goals.
Step 2. The second step in your IDC experience is on Monday of the install week. On that day, one of our experienced teams of door professionals will arrive at your home at the scheduled time and execute the pick-up. During the pick-up our team will:
- Confirm your order
- Take detailed measurements of the doors we will replace
- Remove the doors to be replaced (except security or weather doors)
- Clean up any mess they've made, and
- Wish you a good day as they depart
Step 3. The final step in your IDC experience is on Thursday or Friday of the install week. On that day, one of our experienced teams of door professionals will arrive at your home at the scheduled time and install your beautiful new interior doors. During the install, our team will:
- Install your custom-fit doors
- Install your new hardware (knobs or levers and hinges)
- Install new matching strike plates in the jambs
- Adjust the doors, if needed, to ensure satisfactory operation
- Clean up any mess they've made, and
- Review the final invoice with you and collect payment,
- And wish you a good day as you begin to enjoy the way new interior doors have transformed your home
