Interior Door Service
The solution to your interior door problems!
Our technicians are our employees, and they take pride in the job they do in your home. Since we opened our doors in 2005, we've had the opportunity to solve a variety of interior door problems for our customers. Here are some of the services we can provide while we are in your home installing new doors:
- Adjust door jambs to correct poor initial installation or settling due to foundation movement/repair.
- Custom-fit doors to non-standard door jambs.
- Install double French Doors in arched openings. Many newer homes have entryways to formal rooms with an arched top. Our professional door teams have installed dozens of doors in these openings with fixed lites above the new doors. The fixed lites over the new doors allows the arched opening to be filled for privacy (in the case of a home office) while still allowing for the installation of beautiful French Doors - without the expense of having custom doors made to fill a non-standard arch.
- Install jambs and doors in finished openings.
- Replace doors that are missing (removed by previous owners or damaged).
- Replace worn-out or defective pocket door track.
- Painting existing doors to match the color of the new interior doors (unfortunately, we cannot warranty the paint job over the old paint because we did not control the previous paint installation).
- Replace hollow-core doors on furnace closets with solid core doors. We recommend matching this installation with weather-strip to seal the gaps around the doors. This combination will result in a quieter home, and will ensure air conditioned air moves through the air filter as designed.
- Replace hollow-core attic entry doors. Some of our customer's homes have attic entry doors on the second floor that are hollow core doors without weather stripping around the jamb. These hollow doors allow tremendous energy waste, and can be a hazard in the event of a fire in the attic, since the hollow doors burn through very quickly. IDC has installed new, solid core attic entry doors that match the other doors we are installing. Our installation can include modern foam-filled nylon weather strip in new kerfed door stop, a new threshold and matching door bottom sweep. This combination will ensure a seal around the attic door that will reduce the air and energy loss through this opening into the attic.
- Install new jambs and casings in room entries. Some of our customer's homes have old door jambs that may have had doors installed, but have since had them removed. IDC can replace the old jamb with new jamb and casing that will freshen the appearance of the opening and give your room the quality entry that it deserves.
